Today, the grape has extended to many regions with warm Mediterranean climate, since this fruit requires good conditions to grow and live properly. It is a dynamic crop, with very short work and care stages: there are some critical control points related to managing the harvest, arrival at packing house and cooling process times. Thanks to the acquisition of Agrícola Hoja Redonda in Peru, San Miguel started to produce the varieties Sweet Globe® and Jack´s Salute®. These are ‘Premium grapes’, within the world of seedless grapes. One of their most important and outstanding attributes is their size, which exceeds the market standards and makes these varieties highly appreciated by customers worldwide.
