In South Africa, San Miguel was present in one of the largest events of the sector. A forum to exchange views and experiences with the citrus key players in that country.
The Citrus Growers' Association of Southern Africa held the second citrus summit on March 8 and 9 in Port Elizabeth. In one of the world's leading citrus countries where citriculture is a strategic activity as a share of GDP, it is very important to have a high level event like this one.
It is a single space where producers, exporters, government representatives and service suppliers exchange very valuable views and experiences for decision-making in all the dimensions of our business.
Additionally, to San Miguel as a company, it was a great opportunity to relate with the key players of the citrus sector from the different production regions of the country and analyze together the new challenges we have ahead. A great occasion to continue fostering our business and growing together with the communities where we are involved.
“Undoubtedly, it was an essential activity to have a better insight of the megatrends and the shifts in scenarios that take place in the markets both in the consumption habits and in the competitive context,” pointed out Alejandro Lucas, Country Manager of San Miguel in South Africa.
